New Recordings
Friday, August 6, 2010 at 8:35PM I posted a few new recordings on my Recordings page - feel free to check them out and leave some comments (either below or you can use my Contact Me page). I recorded with Sam & Karen on Wednesday night. We made a demo CD of some showtunes to audition for Krannert Center's Krannert Uncorked wine-tasting series. No word on when we'll find out if we perform sometime this year or not, but I think we stand a good chance.
The tunes are:
- Where In the World (from The Secret Garden) by Lucy Simon & Marsha Norman
- How Could I Ever Know? (from The Secret Garden) by Lucy Simon & Marsha Norman
- The Song That Goes Like This (from Spamalot) by Eric Idle & John Du Prez
- I've Never Been In Love Before (from Guys and Dolls) by Frank Loesser

The recordings are nice, but for these musical choices that have such great piano accompaniment... it is hard to hear it. The recordings sound like they are meant to feature just the singers, and from my understanding, you are trying to sell the whole package of the songs, which should include the pianist. Just a little food for thought. Keep up the good work and good luck getting in to the series!
